The 6 levels

For: Absolute beginner

About HSK 3.0

HSK (Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì, 汉语水平考试) is the official Chinese proficiency test issued by Hanban. Version 3.0, in effect since July 2026, replaces the old 6-level scale with a more demanding 9-level system. This guide covers the first 6, from absolute beginner to advanced.
