Who built HanziMemo?
HanziMemo was built by Alice Hitchon, a French student of Chinese. She designed the app for her own HSK preparation: remembering vocabulary for the long term, reviewing a little every day and practising with mock exams.
Where do the vocabulary lists come from?
The lists come from the official Chinese standard GF 0025-2021, 《国际中文教育中文水平等级标准》, published by the Ministry of Education and the National Language Commission, in force since 1 July 2021 and commonly called HSK 3.0. We use its vocabulary appendix, counting the new words introduced at each level.
